An old  unused door from a large china cabinet, reinvented in an aged and worn finish as if it had been painted and repainted over the years.

Several paint layers were painted on this door, ensuring each layer created texture and peaks with a hair dryer while painting and messy strokes. Then the whole thing was sanded down with an electric sander to expose the layers, this created natural wear like patina that comes from age and use. IOD transfer was applied and covered the whole piece in clear wax for protection. Dark antiquing wax and some Vintage gold gilding wax were added to further highlight some of the original carved details on the door. Dimensions 1560mm height
